It’s a new look team for Japan at the 2025 World Championships after a stellar 2024 season. The best women’s freestyle country in the world won four gold and two bronze medals at the Olympics, and three gold and one bronze at World Championships (non-Olympic weights).

Women's NCAA D3 Programs Consider Split For 2027-28 Season

Multiple sources confirmed that a proposal is in the works to establish a Division III women’s wrestling championship for the 2027-28 season. This was an expected move since D3 programs are at a competitive disadvantage since they cannot offer athletic scholarships, while D1 and D2 programs can.
