Life As A Ballroom Dancer

This video follows Under 21 World Ballroom Champions Oskar and Karolina as they train for the title of Best In The World.  It captures the essence of what it's like to train on a daily basis and push yourself both physically and mentally to strive for perfection on the dance floor.

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Karolina Holody began dancing at a young age like many professionals in the world of Dancesport. Karolinas' first love was Latin dance, professing herself the official "latin diva", but as she grew Karolina became more and more passionate about Ballroom and is now one of the top female ballroom dancers in the world today.

Oskar Wojciechowski also started dancing at a young age at a studio near his home. He spent his childhood in dance classes and perfecting routines earning champion titles in the Junior and Youth Ballroom categories. Oskar moved up quickly as Ballroom dancer and along the way he met his current partner Karolina.

The two began dancing together in 2008 after becoming familiar with one another through competitions they would both attend. They went on win the United States National Dancesport Championship in the Youth Ballroom and Youth 10 Dance divisions after only dancing together for a few short months.

After reaching 18 years of age the couple began dancing in the Under 21 category and became consecutive Under 21 Ballroom Dancesport Champions. They then began to compete in the adult category with much success. Thrilled with their achievements, the couple set their focus on Blackpool, the most prestigious Dancesport festival in the world. They won not only the Rising Star Ballroom division but also the Under 21 division, a feat that had never before been accomplished by any couple in the history of the sport.

It's safe to say that this couple is just getting started and they will be making waves in the world of Dancesport for many years to come.
