After taking a week off, WOD was back with the fire last night on NBC. This week we continued with the duels, as dancer went head to head with the hopes of making it into the next round and getting that much closer to the $1million cash prize. 

Every week judges, Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and Ne-yo critique competitors based on five categories, performance, technique, choreography, creativity, and presentation. Each act is given a score of up to a maximum of 100 points and is competing to win one of three divisions, either the Upper (at least 18 years old and up to four members), Team (at least 18 years old and more than four members) or Junior (under 18 years old). One winner will be crowned in each division and will face off against the other two divisions for the grand prize of $1million and the title of best dance act in the world.

Here's a run down of what happened on last nights show. 

Kinjaz vs. Stroll Groove (Team) 

There was really no competition between these two groups. Don't get wrong, both acts are talented in their own right but the Kinjaz are in a class of their own. Last night's routine, was polished to the nines and as creative as you can get with the use of Japanese room dividers. They were so dynamic and captivating that even the judges had to give them a standing ovation. Stroll Groove was so much fun to watch with their 90s dance party themed step routine, but they were simply no match for the Kinjaz and so Kinjaz defeated Stroll Groove 91.3 to 81.3.

Luka & Jenalyn vs. DNA (Upper) 

Luka & Jenalyn of Canada went against ballroom act, DNA, for this Upper division duel. Luka & Jenalyn were freaking amazing to say the least. Their acrobatic moves blow my mind over and over again and this week was no different. They did some tricks that I've never seen before and by the looks on the judges faces they'd never seen them either. Their performance rightfully earned them a standing ovation from the judges. DNA struggled from the beginning, within the first 10 seconds the lead man had already fallen out of his tour and things didn't go up from there. Luka & Jenalyn defeated DNA by a score of 88.7 to 80.3.

Jabbawockeez vs. Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions vs. Rouge (Team)

Only three teams remain in this round after the Kinjaz and Stroll Groove dueled earlier in the show, setting us up for an incredible three way duel. The all-female sexy hip hop group Rouge went first. They were entertaining, but so is everyone else in the show. They needed to bring more to the table than shaking their bums last night and they didn't. The Jabbawockeez stood up to their reputation last night making up for their somewhat disappointing performance and scores from their qualifying round. Their opening slow motion walk had me hooked from the start of their routine. They literally made a human cannon that was surprising and fantastic in every way.  Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions performed last and although entertaining they still, to quote Jennifer, "perform as if they are backup dancers missing their lead singer." They were smooth, detailed, and entertaining, but compared to other acts in the show, they have a lot to prove and an uphill battle if they want to win this thing. Rouge went home in third place with 80 points, The Jabbawockeez took second with 84.7, and Ian Eastwood and the Young Lions advanced to the next round with a score of 85.7.

D'Angelo and Amanda vs. The Mihacevich Sisters (Junior)

This duel was the least impressive in my opinion. D'Angelo and Amanda from Miami went first and unfortunately they left their Miami heat in Miami. They were extremely powerful in the qualifying round but fell below expectations in this round.The Mihacevich Sisters were clean and performed some unique formations but compared to other competitors in the show they can't hold a candle. But they were able to out perform D'Angelo and Amanda with a score of 81 to 78.7.




In the partially aired and unaired sections of the show we had Immabeast barely defeated Mini Request in the junior division 86 to 85.7. While in the Upper division Passion defeated Kings Unite  87.3 to 83.7 and the Chapkis Dance Family defeated Rhythmatic in the Team division 88.7 to 86.3.
