The first weekend of pure chaos in the D2 football season has come and gone, leaving teams and fans reeling in it's wake.

Three top 10 teams lost in dramatic fashion -- GVSU, MSU, Virginia Union --, while No. 1 Ferris State had to fight off a a spirited Tiffin team that nearly notched a comeback.

Suffice to say, the FloCollege Football Rankings didn't skip leg day, and the rankings reflect the mayhem.

Grand Valley State drops four spots after their loss to Pittsburg State, who miraculously reappears in the Top 25 at No. 21. Virginia Union and Minnesota State both sink after losses to Edward Waters and Minnesota Duluth, respectively. Both of those teams also show up in this week's rankings, with Waters receiving votes and Duluth surging to No. 12.

Plenty of teams capitalized on the chaos. Angelo State, Kutztown, MSU Moorhead each move up a few spots, but the big winners are Michigan Tech and West Alabama, who are both 3-0 to start the season and sit inside the Top 10 at No. 9 and No. 10.

One more team that sticks out is Sioux Falls, who have come out of nowhere to land at No. 22 after starting 3-0 with two away wins against Black Hills and Bemidji.
